As the first African American to manage the City of Los Angeles' Computer Support Department,
pioneer Mr. Willie James Kendricks' provided computer support to thousands of City employees.
He inspired young men and women like Terolyn Phinsee (our Founder) to pursue careers
in Information Technology, medicine, music, theatre art, and more.
He inspired many to be courageous border less pillars of success.

His family, friends, and colleagues will forever cherish his love, care,
compassion, his love for music, travel,
and amazing technical savvy!

The Willie James Kendricks' scholarship application will open on
January 1, 2019 and will close on March 1, 2019.
Titus Single Parent Mentoring and the
Kendricks' Family will announce the scholarship recipients at our annual breakfast

The scholarship criteria for 2019 is as follows.
Applying students must:

Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
Plan on or attend a 4 year accredited college in the Fall of 2018
Major in a STEAM related field
Complete a 300 word essay on one of the following topics
'How Might Information Technology Shape Future Employment Opportunities' or
'How I Plan to Be a Pillar of Success in STEAM Career'
A letter of recommendation from an instructor and a community leader
A copy of your 2018 Fall Transcripts
Name of college attending or college of acceptance
